Sunday Morning Fun

A couple enjoys the rush of the water jets, with their cute little doggy, early Sunday morning, June 1, 2008. I've been referring to this as Waterjet Plaza, but I really don't know what it's called. One day I'll find out and update these posts.

Through The Waterjets

Downtown Celebration through the water streams at the Waterjet Plaza. I saw a "Pool Rules" sign posted there today, complete with the "No Diving" admonition. I wonder if kids were diving into the cement?

I'm showing it to you just so I can tell you about Bostonscapes by Fénix. She's publishing a companion blog to her regular blog featuring her Neighborhood Series. If, by any chance, you haven't been to her blog lately, or ever, this is a must see series. She has compiled all of the photos from her series in the past year and is presenting them in one post for each neighborhood. The series started last Monday with the Back Bay, and has moved on to Beacon Hill, The Financial District, The North End, Boston Harbor, and the Seaport District. A Balmy Day

These tall palms surround a small plaza where kids and adults can play in the water that is shot out of the ground in an interesting time sequence. Notice the large compass on the ground ... this is where the jets are. I took this photo early on a Sunday morning before the jets were turned on. The compass points indicate the mileage to certain places in the states: Boston, 1116 miles; Burbank, 2197 ... etc. I'll show you detail of the compass in another post.
